We will never add you to our marketing email list without your explicit, affirmative consent. Pre-checked consent boxes are not used. Your consent is freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous, as required by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What Emails You Will Receive

2.1 Transactional Emails (No Opt-in Required)

Regardless of your marketing preferences, you will receive essential transactional emails related to your account and purchases:

Your email address is stored securely in our Firebase Firestore database and is protected by encryption in transit and at rest. We implement strict access controls to ensure only authorized personnel can access subscriber data.

4.3 Data Retention

We retain your email address for as long as you maintain an active subscription or account. If you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we will retain a record of your email on a suppression list to ensure we do not inadvertently re-subscribe you. If you request full data deletion, we will remove your email from all lists, including the suppression list.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

Under GDPR, we process your email address based on the following legal grounds:

• Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): For marketing and newsletter emails, we rely on your explicit, freely-given consent.
• Contractual necessity (Article 6(1)(b)): For transactional emails, we process your email as necessary to perform our contract with you (e.g., delivering purchase confirmations).
